  1. This is such a great innovation that can be found useful in reality. For example, the japanese restaurant in Thailand called "Hajime restaurant" is now using robots to order food and, as well as serve food to its customers(To see more information about the restaurant, just go to the following URL: http://www.djmick.co.uk/travel/hajime-japanese-robot-restaurant-bangkok-pictures-and-video/). Though these robots may draw attraction from people to come joining the restaurant, I myself think that the disadvantages of using robots as waiters far outweigh the advantages. Absolutely, this technology is not suitable for our cake shop.

As our cake shop is not a big business like that restaurant, it is not worth spending money on installing the robots to serve and get the order. Due to the fact that investment in thiss kind of technology definitely uses a large sum of money, we had better hire human to work as waiters or waitresses. The robots lack of interaction to the customers. This characteristic is considered as the focal basis in giving customers great services. Moreover, the robots cannot perform the tasks as fast and accurate as human beings can.

  2. In my opinion, whether to hire a robot as a serving waiter mainly depends on the scale and the budget of the organization.Like the "Hajime Robot Restaurant", the owner of the shop is the first person who introduced the robot as his shop's serving waiter in Thailand. So his shop is now famous for this and he succeed.

but i think what he taught us is not to employ a robot, is creative.

As for the coffee shop, this kind of shop is more humanization, i think it is better to hire human beings as waiters and waitresses. Anyway, they can smile, they can communicate, they can let guests feel warm.

  3. Mahru-Z is cool. I really like her. Eventhough I do not like japanese restuarant, I will definitely go to Hajime restaurant (as the comment above provided)to see the real Mahru-Z. And I believe that a lot of people will go there for at least once to see the robot serving their food. However, as a small coffee onwer, I can not purchase even Mahru-z' s arm or leg in my shop because of her expensive price. Anyway I still agree with those above comments about the lack of interaction, smile from heart, and two way communication. Because the primary duty of robot is do something that human can not do such as perform its work in the dangerous area, I will buy one to clean up one of my frind's condo; the most dangerous place in BKK. :)
